“Be patient with the process!” Some things just take time…

Trust God to complete what He started in you on His timetable not yours! I promise He knows what He’s doing. (I’m preaching to myself too! lol)

Philippians 1:6: Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. [perform=to finish, or bring through to an end; complete]

Quotes from Pastor Joel Urshan’s sermon, “The God of Process”, that encourage me:

  • “Human nature is we don’t like processes. We like product. We don’t like something to take time. We want the time to be taken on somebody else’s watch and in some other way. And we just want the product and we want it now… but God is a God of process. There are things that take time. You and I must allow them to take time.“
  • We must allow the Lord to take time in our lives. When He develops us in spiritual growth, it’s important that we allow Him to do just that, so some things just take time. Be patient with the process! Be patient with God as He is working in our lives. He is much more concerned in developing character in us than He is getting us out of the little jam we got ourselves into.”
  • We are not afraid of the process because we know the God of process. And we know that that God is our friend. And we know that that God would never leave us or forsake us. And we know that that God is with us through it all and everything we need He has it ready to supply.”
  • “A lot of people want the product… they want that product. But they don’t want to come against and get involved with any kind of process. But the process is what creates the product! Hallelujah. The process cannot be avoided.”

Pastor Timothy Harris said it so well in his sermon “Faith in God”: “I don’t care how rough it gets, God is going to take you through and me through and us through because He’s God! And I trust Him!” Don’t get so distracted by what you’re going through (and how long it’s taking) that you forget where you’re going. Stick with God and you’re going to make it!

Pray. Trust. Obey. TODAY.

“I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.” -Psalm 130:5-6

“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”  Psalm 103:8-12 ♥
